LifeSkylls recently had the privilege of organizing an Employee Engagement Workshop for a leading Pharma company, led by the inspiring Wg Cdr Arti Vasdev (Retd). The session, titled ‘Influence, Persuade, Negotiate: The Human Edge in Pharma Leadership’, turned out to be one of the most interactive and engaging workshops delivered, leaving participants energized and asking for more.

The workshop was designed to help participants sharpen their influence, persuasion, and negotiation skills, with direct applications to the Pharma industry. The agenda included:
– Icebreaker – ‘Persuade Me in 60 Seconds’: Participants tried convincing others to buy random objects, revealing their natural persuasion styles.
– The Art & Science of Persuasion: Combining storytelling, emotional resonance, and Robert Cialdini’s six principles of influence.
– 10 Ways to Influence People (Dale Carnegie): Practical lessons that encouraged empathy, listening, and genuine appreciation.
– Fun Activity – Influence Bingo: A lively game where participants marked influence-related behaviors they observed in real time.
– 4-Step Negotiation Framework: Role plays around Pharma-based scenarios such as cross-department collaboration and R&D budgeting.
Highlight Activity: Influence Bingo!
One of the standout activities was ‘Influence Bingo’. Participants were given bingo cards with influence-related behaviors and were asked to spot them during the session. The game not only kept energy levels high but also reinforced learning in a playful, interactive manner. By the end, many participants expressed how much they enjoyed this activity and even suggested adopting it into future team meetings to strengthen collaboration.
